See You At NSPRA?
You know when you start a week and you just *know* it’s going to be a great one? That’s how I’m feeling today—because on Sunday, July 11, I’m grabbing my mask, jumping on a plane, and heading to New Orleans for my VERY FIRST in-person National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) Conference!
One of the things I’ve missed most in the past year is meeting with partners, clients, and fellow school communicators in person. As I look at the conference lineup—from sessions about bond campaigns to equity in leadership—I’m filled with excitement to learn from one another as we work together to serve students.
I’m also pumped to be sharing a Gold Mine session on Wednesday about how to communicate change effectively. (I know you feel me on this one. Pivoting is...well tricky to say the least.) I’ll be sharing real examples about what works, our proprietary core messaging formula, and our printable, five step stress-free pivoting checklist.
Oh AND. So many of you have asked if we still have printed versions of our free guide: How to (Re)-Build Your District's Enrollment Numbers. We have just a few left, so I’m bringing those along as well! I’m checking a bag so I can fit them, just for y'all. PSST—if you want me to save one for you—hit reply to this email and let me know.

Meanwhile, Katie is holding down the (virtual) fort back at her home office and is presenting an online session about how you can ensure you have a seat at the strategic table! You’ll walk away from her session with three data-backed recommendations and great resources to ensure you’re a valued member of the strategic team—one who is looped in early and often.
She’s jealous I’ll be in-person in New Orleans, and I can’t say I blame her. I love meeting all of you, so let me know if you’ll be there—I’d love to connect!
