The snow is falling (okay, for some of our clients up north), the kids are nearly on winter break and you’re eyeballs deep in gift wrap. But have you thought about how to maximize the holidays to connect with parents? Don’t worry, we’ve got your back.

Here are three ideas to put the holiday break to work for you:

SCHEDULE YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT

In 2018, brands expected a 32 percent increase in messages across social media during the holidays according to Sprout Social data. This means your audiences spend extra hours on social during that time!

This is an opportunity to “introduce” your school to parents who haven't heard of you and build your strong brand with parents who have, all through social.

TIME TO UPDATE YOUR SIGNAGE

Does your school have a customizable exterior sign? Time to update it! Think about how much more traffic there will be over the holidays — that’s a captive audience ready to get to know you. Use your exterior signs to share critical updates like the date of your upcoming choice fair. 

MEET YOUR PARENTS WHERE THEY ARE

Think through where parents/prospective parents are going to be this holiday season — is it in children’s museums? Movie theaters?

By partnering with these organizations — or using your ad dollars — you can deliver your message directly to your target audience. Think fliers in the museum bathroom, or an ad that runs before the matinee movies.
